Professor Orr, Director of CLR is Elected President of an IEEE Technical Society

On November 14, Dr. Thomas Orr, Professor and Director of the Center for Language Research, was elected President of the IEEE Professional Communication Society for 2010-11.

Mr. Masashi Masuda, a first-year student of our Master's Program, Adaptive Systems Laboratory, received the Best Presentation Award at the 19th Intelligent System Symposium "FAN 2009" hosted by Japan Society for Fuzzy Theory and Intelligent Informatics, an international symposium on the theme of Neural Network, Fuzzy Logic, Artificial Intelligence, etc.
